Toowit: What can I say? Turning down a free 8% gross override on Anticosti Island with no risk tells you PSFD is very confident in the SFD technology predicting that those holes were duds. I talked to the Encal boys on that one, got the story from them. PSFD realized that at that time they had the opportunity to risk their reputation and that of the SFD and be greedy taking a free 8% despite what the SFD predicted, or show their confidence in the SFD. They chose principles over greed. I also understand that CamWest turned down an offer to go into Anticosti Island based purely on the SFD, ignoring all of the great seismic work that was done their by others. Shows you what CamWest thinks of the SFD too.

CIMA: Thanks for the info on Shoal Point rumor. I guess I am leery of info that sounds like it is coming from a promoter or someone with a vested interest in getting the rumor out. The guys at Encal tell me Shoal Point is a very complicated structure with lots of faulting etc., so I don't think the results are going to be so readily interpretted. I am guessing more fuzzy results that point to further exploration, but definitely not something that causes everyone to abandon the area. Keeping my fingers crossed.
