russett:

You write so graphically, I can almost see all these holes blowing and spewing. I have read your post a number times, trying to visualize the eruptive processes of mother nature.

As you have taken time and effort to put this in perspective, would you be willing to tell me if I am even close to 'getting' what you were talking about?

1. Pipe Theory: One blast. Good stuff remaining vertically inside the cone of the blow-hole.

2. Horizontal Version: One or many pipes blow stuff that spreads over the field around them. The good stuff is not in the pipe(s), but spread throughout the field upon which it was deposited.

3. Stacked Pipes Version: Very similar to Horizontal Version, but with the addition of a percolating aspect. Spewing, and spewing again, and spewing through - to form horizontal layers that are not inconsistent with the horizontal approach, but more dynamic, richer.

Come on, russett, tell me if I'm off my rocker - or close to seeing what you were talking about. ok? gsm
