On a positive note:

When I read the amazing arresting story I have to admit if it hadn't quoted a newspaper with a page number I would have assumed it had to be a farce. But since I needed to go price a scanner anyway, I decided to see if the Best Buy nearby where I happen to be at the moment (store is in Aurora, IL) and see what happened. SO pad and pen in hand I spent two hours walking up and down the isles taking down prices. During that time nobody indicated any interest in all that I had this long list of prices recorded, but in every section of the store I wandered through I did get asked if I needed any help. I said no, I was just comparing prices and they simply wished me a good day and moved on. I have to admit that I like that and since nobody seemed upset at my recording prices (or evened seemed to take note of it), then I am hoping that this story has to do with a monumentally braindead manager(s) who are localized and not in great abundance. This is only a one time experience here and may be unusual or normal, I wouldn't know since I mostly use UNIX boxes or Macs and buy all my software and equipment direct or from mail order. Just thought I would give a counter-example for those of us who think BBY will eventually get out of this funk.
