"Been down so long, it looks like up to me."

To quote the 60's counterculture title by Dennis Farina.

This is a tough juncture for AAPL investors.

I sold my "trading shares" at $41 just before the GS upgrade. This was a 50% profits in 30 days, but it still hurts. (My pride more than anything else --- the longterm position's intact.)

So what does one do at ... $49 3/8 !!?

I think responsible investing dictates that one *ignore*:

a) When you bought your shares.

b) What you paid for them.

c) How much of your portfolio AAPL is taking up.

d) Which way is the market heading?

And instead ask questions like:

a) Given all the "boiling pots" AAPL's got on the stove, how does AAPL's valuation compare to the rest of the CPU industry? Ie; what is a reasonable valuation?

b) How do I like rest of AAPL's peer group? Are *its* valuations reasonable?

c) What are good/better alternative investments?

Answer fast. Expiring minds want to know.
