Linux, yes. The Mac? The Mac is not open source.

But you elected to sidestep *that* issue.

I didn't "sidestep" anything. I just didn't have any comment on it. We were originally talking about which companies were the pace cars in the streaming server space. You started talking about how Windows is proprietary and how open source is better.

Hey, you'll get no argument from me on that: I'm no Windows-lover. I sincerely hope that Linux does indeed become the dominant server platform.

I'm not here to dis QT. I think it's a great technology, and it certainly has made a name for itself on the desktop. I've done my fair share of QT development.

This whole time my focal point of discussion has been the companies behind the bits, not the bits themselves.
