You've made a minor point. It's just nothing really propietary. Anybody can copy that ease of use. It's just a matter of time.

The ISP's in my area promise to setup completely for you. Not as convenient as AOL, but not hard for the user and the prices for unlimited use are less. How hard can it be to automate the process?

I bought a a modem for home recently and the install CD came with the software for 3 different providers including, of course, AOL. I don't think AOL has been all that smart in broadcasting and continually rebroadcasting these diskettes to every home in America. How many have you thrown away? Despite what they've said about cutting back marketing, I've gotten 2 of these diskettes since. How 'bout you?
