With all do respect, "competent counsel" is not the answer. You find the best person in the field, and you hire him/her at the price. Let the punks learn their art on somebody else. Get the best...(friendships, cost, and everything else aside). Hire the best. Supply him/her with every piece of information and idea you can come up with. He/she needs that. But when it comes down to interrogation, and creating contradictions in witnesses and so forth...that is his/her job. Reputation and brilliance is what counts.

Don't let these bastards push you around. You hire the right people... your opponents will get pushed. You hire an amateur, you lose...even if you are right.

And yes...a counterclaim should have been launched within 24 hours after service. What worries me about the 3 defendants is that they are such decent and fine people. Such people often trust too much in the system, and fail to take the necessary aggressiveness to protect their interests. I've had a few drinks so I am shooting my mouth off; but I am being sincere. I like all of the defendants; and I hope that they recognize the difference between the intellectual world, and the world where you get f-----.
