Neocon, it looks like your sanctimonious academic side is showing on this one. I must have hit a raw nerve on my last post.

I have little doubt you have studied and know academically much more about Kosovo than I. I also have no doubt that you know more about geopolitical decision making. However, if you can't take a position when our young people are being sent into battle to die for a cause, then all that knowledge has been wasted. What exactly does measured mean? It sounds like one of those Clinton words which could mean almost anything.

Should we have bombed Kosovo? Should we continue bombing Kosovo? Should we send in American ground forces, and sacrifice at a far greater level our young soldiers lives? Should we leave? Should we leave it up to the European countries to decide the outcome?

These are the questions on the table today. Waiting for an answer to be made clear by events is not "taking a position". It is without passion and intended to ensure an academically correct outcome.

Sorry, but that's just what a politician does. And contrary to the intellectual elite in this country, quite easy.

C'mon Neocon, pretend you're the President. Show some passion and make a tough decision! :-)

Michael
