Speaking of growth...
Jim Collins, editor of the newsletter,Growth Stock Winners, (very highly rated by the Hulbert Financial Digest) sent me an advertising brochure titled "Stocks That TRIPLE In A Year And Quadruple in Two", April,1999.
On page 14, the newsletter says, "Let Me Introduce You to a BETTER Class of Investment: The Stocks Most Likely to TRIPLE in the Next 12 Months..." He gives brief descriptions but does not name these stocks, because he would like us to subscribe to find out which ones they are.
However, this description--the first one--sounded a tad familiar... so I thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas...
'POISED FOR GROWTH: Company "A" is one of the leading personal computer manufacturers and has revolutionized the industry with its manufacturing practices and direct marketing model. As the most profitable and fastest growing PC manufacturer, this company is bound to continue to bring huge returns to its shareholders as e-commerce and the popularity of the Internet drive PC demand even higher.
Now, I really don't think he has CPQ in mind....
