We should soon start to hear horror stories. A lot of beginners find initial success. Especially those that hopped on the internet stocks. They feel like geniuses. Trading on velvet. But alas, the constant gnawing away of commissions, fees, and the bid/ask spread, mixed in with a few crushing losing trades; the overconfidence yields to reality. The ultra stubborn either go broke or quit in time. Only a few have the type of makeup that allows them to move in the opposite direction of the herd and make money.
