You raise an interesting point. In our industry (and many others) performance is measured against an agreed set of goals, which are usually set at the conclusion of the previous year's performance review.

Wouldn't it be dandy to force these analysts to formalize their predictions in simple pear-shaped words and make that running record available (at the least) to all customers of that brokerage house, or better yet, to all of us poor saps in cyberspace.

An idle dream maybe, but it sure would serve like a mega dose of Prozac to these wild market rides. A little accountability can go a long ways.
