AOL ===> Got a rude awakening...

T ==> Still trying to catch AOL.

T is millions of subscribers behind AOL, as is every other ISP.

The real truth is that Media One, nor any right minded company would accept AOL stock as a valued currency.....

You tell that to Sprint and their millions when they cash out. Stock is what makes the world go round, and is the currency of the street and all these rosy mergers that headline the business section every week. Don't confuse your own opinion with reality.

All this talk about broadband will come to pass. Broadband will be slow coming, cable or xDSL. While the digerati (that's us folks) spouts "broadband! broadband!" most consumers scratch their heads. There is a reason why AOL has 17+ million subscribers, and ATHM +RoadRunner+every other "broadband" provider doesn't.

First it was CompuServe/Prodigy, then Microsoft, then it was busy signals, and now BROADBAND is the flavor of the month. Still long after all these years, enjoying all my "funny money"

S.

p.s. - if I had listened to all the bears over all the years I've been in AOL, I wouldn't be sitting on a gain of over 1200% 8^)
