To all,

Bill has claimed that he, Jeff and Janice tried to bow out gracefully and placate Business Wire, but Business Wire is claiming otherwise.

Note: Bizwire had to make repeated demands for removal of the Bylines. Why did they have to make "repeated" demands if Bill, Jeff and Janice supposedly had immediately tried to make peace and placate them? Who is lying? Knowing Janice et al's disdain for authority and not liking to be pushed around and told what to do, I would have to favor Business Wire's statement that they had to make "repeated demands" (for removal of the Bylines.)

Note Business Wire's claim that the defendants "began making false assertions that the company itself was involved in fraudulent investment schemes... ?" Whoa... That is getting pretty confrontational and defiant if you ask me! Why stir up so much contention if they were in fact trying to make the peace?

I can understand all those that know Janice, Jeff and Bill on Silicon Investor rushing to their defense, but is everyone here on Silicon Investor so brainwashed and unfair that they can't see Business Wire's position? I think that hurling accusations around that BizWire is engaged in fraudulent investment schemes is pretty brazen and damaging. Again... why did these exchanges occur if Janice, Jeff and Bill had tried to placate BizWire and diffuse the situation with apologies?? It appears to me that Janice et al were just looking to further the contention, despite their assertions that they tried to make the peace.

Maybe many who read BizWire's release in it's entirety, and find that even Business Wire has been subjected to witch hunt accusations, will now be enlightened to the fact that maybe Janice, Jeff and Bill are too ready to jump down everyone's throats with accusations of fraud. Methinks that this will be the case.

You guys can protect Janice, Jeff, and Bill for the fine people that they are, but in all fairness, I bet you all know in your heart of hearts that they should have to own up and apologize for their slandering and defamation of Business Wire, and if you were walking in Business Wire's moccasins... I bet you all would take a stand to protect your professional parameters as well. I have to be fair and say that I can understand Business Wire's position, and feel that especially as a newswire service, they have a professional responsibility to protect their Trademarks and their reputation.

From BizWire's press release for reference: "In response, defendants changed the byline to ''BIDNESS WIRE,'' a name easily confused with Business Wire. The defendants only deleted the byline after ***repeated demands from the company***, and then began making ***false assertions that the company was itself involved in fraudulent investment schemes***, according to the lawsuit."

"Business Wire's lawsuit alleges violations of federal and state trademark laws, fraud, breach of contract, defamation and conspiracy and seeks unspecified damages and injunctive relief."

The moral of this story appears to be: Trix, um I mean "tricks" are for kids, and not for silly rabbits ;o)
