Ron;

Let me attempt to answer your queries.

<These halos can for all g.ps. can really be anywhere?>

No, these halos are only associated with areas where there is or has been active vulcanism and/or along crustal plate boundaries. Indonesia is located along the "Ring of Fire", that would be along a crustal plate boundary with associated volcanism.

<If you have a lot of aluvial gold in the streams and rivers and it is being constantly replenished, then could we say it is coming from this halo?>

Maybe, if the headwaters of the streams originate from the property and x-cut the halo, eroding into the halo, I would say that the chances of the gold coming from the halo is high. If the streams do not originate on the property and do not x-cut the halo, the answer is NO. That would mean that there is another source to the gold.

<Could this halo be the source of the aluvial gold that is constantly being released and the materials that bind it are being desolved?>

If the halo is the source of the gold, the gold would be freed by the process of erosion. Now for the record erosion can be carried out in three distinct fashions, chemical, physical and mechanical. The chemical process would be the dissolving of materials. The physical process one might consider to be like mud slides, avalanches, floodins and many others. The mechanical would be like the crushing of smaller material under boulders, frost wedging and others. I would suggest that in Indo that we are dealing with a little chemical and a lot of physical erosion.

<Would the find that Bre-x found be a halo or is/was the result of the halo being erroded over the years and deposited on their property?>

Unfortunately I don't know much about the BreX find. I would have to do some digging to find the answers to this question. That would also be a good idea as it would give me a better understanding of all the processes that are going on in Indo to deposit gold.

<Or could we say that this was an intusion based on what you have said?>

As I have stated, I don't know for sure. If I were a betting man, I would have to say that the BreX is probably intrusive, greenbelt stuff.

Well that is all for now.

Good fortunes

Matt
