What accusations? If there's some Parallel Universe you get this stuff from you could maybe give us directions.

BW was not the butt of the joke until they took that role upon themselves by losing their cool and threatening this suit. Compare them with Wired.com, both started out equally fooled on April 1. Wired handled it professionally and sustained no damage whatsoever, somebody at BW went off their nut and is making BW look silly. Hardly something for which to blame Jeff, Bill, and Janice.
