While you are waiting, IBM is ramping up it's entry into the interactive video market. Could this explain their interest in ADI's MPEG chip with the interactive capabilities?

IBM is also moving forward with its involvement in the Internet2 Digital Video Network. Developed by the U.S. academic community, technology companies and the U.S. government, the network will provide easy-to-use applications that can deliver live or on-demand streaming and interactive digital video. IBM is providing its supercomputer and video technologies to the project. Although the focus of the project has been to create a national higher education network service via the Internet, the technology will have applications for the music industry which would be able to use similar systems for content distribution.
