i read a post on the canadian oil and gas postings that the hole collapsed and that thay may have gone to far etc.. this kind of thing can happen in a very complicated well like the shoal point one. This is not uncommon, and companies buy insurace against shuch things. but this is also not confirmed, just heard that they will have to back out and go around the colapsed section of hole. i dont believe that this was as bad as a total loss of circulation but i imagine that they would have to have sufficent equip there to kill the well if needed.
but none of this is real till someone says so, and then they may not say anything cus it might not be a big deal
