What impressed me

I am trying to get a sales engineer position in the US. The technology is very impressive, the ability to "encode" large chunks of data and then actually perform analysis on the encoded result. Most data warehouse implementations double or triple their size just for indexing (oracle is even less effecient). Nucleus actually shrinks its storage requirements! Combine this with cheap large memory servers (4-8 gigs/system) and you have in memory interaction with a whole warehouse.

They are working hard on partnerships with other warehouse companies because the products work well WITH the large scale warehouse installations to create quick "exploration" warehouses that tap the existing warehouse and allow a new domain of queries to be done in a specialized way.

I talked to the Nucleus product manager who is working on building these partner relationships. He is fired up about their prospects.

Me too.

Also, being among names like NCR, SAS, and IBM in the DM review awards last year is very impressive.
