From Yalta to Malta. In 1987, at their Malta meeting both the US and the Russians agreed - among other issues - on preserving the status quo re: boundaries in Europe, i.e. as defined by Hitler-Stalin Pact of August 23, 1939. Moreover, the Bush-Gorbachyov team did not foresee the break-up of multi-national states such as the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia (Imperial History 101 not taught in Washington and Moscow!) See: Bush's "Chicken a la Kiev" speech. US/UK Final Solution in Yugoslavia can lock out these two countries from any future European developments where Berlin and Moscow will have the major say. There can be no lasting peace in Europe without Russia (See: 1815-1864 period). As for Bill Clinton and Tony Blair, both should undergo psychiatric examinations ASAP.
