Mytec signs up Simple Technology to distribute Touchstone(R) Pro, its newest biometric product
TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ - Mytec Technologies Inc., a leader in providing
trusted fingerprint-based biometric solutions to organizations requiring high
levels of security for network and physical access, announced today that
Simple Technology Inc., a preferred computer product distributor in Canada,
has agreed to distribute Mytec's Touchstone(R) Pro throughout Canada.

The non-exclusive agreement calls for Simple to focus on national sales
coverage to develop Mytec's market for Touchstone Pro, while at the same time,
building product awareness and sales volumes.

Touchstone Pro, unveiled late last month, is one-third the size and
one-third the price of Mytec's previous network access product. Mytec's robust
biometric fingerprint solution, aimed at network access security concerns, has
been improved with the addition of the latest silicon sensor technology. This
has allowed Mytec to take Touchstone Pro to the most advanced level of
technology in the industry.
Touchstone Pro's on-board processing power makes it a trusted and secure
biometric device because all sensitive operations happen within the device and
not on the host PC. Once all operations are complete and authentication is
confirmed, the user's secret key is released from Touchstone Pro. This key is
protected by link encryption while traveling to the host, preventing snooping
and replay attacks.
