If it is true that a main reason for HP going to Hatachi is that EMC's units are starting to do some of the functions of their own servers, then it seems likely that they would ask Hitachi to limit these functions on the equipment that HP will resell. EMC would be in the envious position of competing against an inferior product in my opinion.
