Of course people have got around the lock-up of shares by simply executing a covered short of sorts. They still hold the "locked" shares but at the same time they also short the stock by any amount up to their entire allotment if the price goes high enough and they want to lock in their profits.

BTW, I am long KRT and I'm still hoping that I might get my initial capital out of this stock if we have reasonably good drill results.
