TEWKSBURY, Mass. (February 26, 1997) - Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID) today announced that the company's industry-leading, disk-based products are continuing to make strong inroads into the worldwide broadcast market. Broadcasters who have recently purchased Avid's digital editing, playback and newsroom computer systems include ABC Network Branding, HBO and CBS's Telenoticias in the U.S., Rogers Cable in Canada and TV Abril and TV Globo in South America.
