I have the same dilemma, holding May 40 calls. It comes down to how good your nerves are. I think there's a 50-50 chance the May 40s will be in the money within a couple of weeks,(which of course means there's a 50-50 chance they will expire worthless). If you can't afford to lose all of your investment, you could sell some or all of your options now while there is still some time premium, and buy the stock itself. If your decision was wrong and the stock goes up, you would at least get the benefit of the increase in stock price. Whichever way, it's a gamble. But options were never anything else, were they?
