Humbly report, All, regarding Yahoo! and Go2Net:

Yahoo:
Koogle is steering Yahoo toward a wider range of sound and video-enhanced services as the Web portal eyes bigger bandwidth and greater use of sound and video through its Broadcast.com purchase.
(From: cbs.marketwatch.com )

Go2Net:
In the immediate term, we're essentially reuniting Oren with MetaCrawler and are looking forward to his leadership in improving and extending our existing Web technologies across the Go2Net Network. He'll also be instrumental in the formation of a broadband content department, which will be central to Go2Net's drive to become one of the leading content delivery platforms in the broadband world.

Ergo, I humbly miss Go2Net in the following:

Yahoo is the only big Web portal left that hasn't been gobbled up.

America Online bought Netscape for $9.4 billion in November. USA Networks plans to by Lycos; AtHome bought Excite for about $5.5 billion; Disney bought Infoseek to launch its GO Network; NBC is backing Snap, as well as several other Web properties.

(Also from: cbs.marketwatch.com )

Just though't I'd humbly mention it, since they didn't.

Cheers,

Svejk
