.Trev, Here is a conspiracy theory for today....First of all, follow the money.....regarding the Aber-Winspear law suite, no national brokerage firm dares support or back Winspear at this time.....why you ask? Well, one of the largest Canadian corporate clients a brokerage could have would be a company like Franco or Euro Nevada. With the FN position in Aber, I doubt any brokerage would run the risk of either losing or never getting either of the Nevadas as a client, or not getting the opportunity to participate in any of their future placements......Also, IMO, Aber's actions have been vexatious....it appears that from the beginning they have been terrified that Snap Lake has the potential to steal the lime light from Diavik...... financing Diavik could get a whole lot tougher if it is perceived as "second" in terms of quality and in situ resource value.....IMO, Aber's claims of unfair treatment are only another shameless ruse in an ongoing attempt to marginalize Winspear(perhaps Aber thought that maybe Winspear could be folded into "Aberex" cheaply?) ........Winspear has acted properly, as in their shareholder's interests.............We shall see if Winspear can prevail without the "Eastern Overlords" and their capital..............sadly, this could make a hostile takeover attempt on WSP by a senior diamond producer, easier and cheaper........ regards, teevee |
