Well... in all reality ... think about it. We are arguing about the shapes of clouds if we take the words of the developers, and those with a financial interest in the formats about their quality. The ONLY way to judge these formats is to learn the differences between them, understand their features and THEN *LISTEN TO THEM* If you dig a little you can do this yourself to some extent. mpeg.org There is information on the AAC format, even an encoder. Pick music with a lot of dynamic range, and clear high end. Try classical music or the beatles. Test bitrates against each other. Listen with HEADPHONES. Preferably high quality one. Of course we cannot hear EPAC yet... but eventually we will be able to (hopefully). Listen carefully, and make up your own mind. cAPSLOCK
