By claiming to be an investigator, is it possible that a person could be trying to "trade" (crebility speaking, of course) off his position of "authority".
That really would be a dastardly deed, wouldn't?

As people have posted, there are gullible people in this world.

If a person is not an investigator, and portrays himself to be one, would that be breaking any laws??

I think law enforcement has different rules than the rest of us. You know..pretending to be one when you're not, and all that jazz.

I really am learning a lot from everyone here, I think it's great that people are able to answer these important and difficult questions with such conviction.

What would we ever do without all of you??
