OT - $125 comm. to buy 1000 sh. If you want 'relationships' in business, you pay for them. You'd have a good relationship w/ your local car salesman if you paid cash at full sticker price for a new car each year, too. No one is trying to get you to drop your broker, so why try to get others to drop theirs? You can pay many hundreds per trade, or five bucks, w/ a broad difference in service, but most of the time, very little difference in net effect - the stock does get bought/sold either way.
