The trades on the bid.(sells) in larger volume than trades at the ask(buys) were not bringing the price down. Instead it would go up.

This indicates to me that someone was buying through a MM at the bid. Taking on all sellers. Not a normal trading pattern.

At the same time all the shares from other MM's were being bought at the ask(offers)
