SST Announces Acquisition of Linvex Technology, Corp.
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- SST (Silicon Storage Technology, Inc.) (Nasdaq: SSTI - news) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Linvex Technology, Corp. (Linvex), a three-year old, privately held, specialty memory design house. This is purely a stock transaction and is expected to be immaterial to SST's financial statements.

''We plan to offer a new breed of memory products based on SST's SuperFlash® technology and Linvex's low power, high performance SRAM design technology aimed at wireless communication and other portable electronic products,'' said Bing Yeh, president and CEO of SST. ''This acquisition allows us to reduce time-to-market significantly,'' added Bing Yeh.

''We were impressed with SST's SuperFlash technology while working with TSMC as a foundry customer. We are extremely pleased to join forces with SST, to offer a more complete memory solution to the market place,'' said Paul Lui, president of Linvex.
