[attacked by competition]

Gregory -

I admire your traits, Cautious & Patient. But -

>> They know what is going on. AMTX is being attacked by competition.<<

Yes! Like a little hairy football (dog) barking at their feet...

>> The future is far from clear for AMTX.<<

Yes very true, it is not spelled out. But if one can not see that Amati is the dominate player in xDSL, then the words too cautious maybe written on the blinders.

>> AMTX is not making money yet. Sure the technology is cool.
But AMTX is so small that they might have a hard time capitalizing on xDSL.<<

NEC, MOT, TI, Yepper! hard time capitalizing all right..

>> Sure they will get royalties. The questions is how much and when and will it be enough?<<

Royalties Icing on the cake. Will cover R&D.

I would venture to say with some degree of certainty that royalties from now until Dec 97, will between 1 & 2 Million up.

But it's not royalties I'm looking forward to.......

>>Until the how and the much is answered, AMTX stock price will have a hard time appreciating.<<

On a permanent t basis?? It along with the rest WSTL PAIR, appreciated quite well last year. If your timing was right, Amati brought a 400 - 500% return there. $5.5 to $36.

WSTL $20 to $85 then split. Pair $40 to $120 split.

Another rally could happen anytime.. Things sure look a lot better for a rally this year than last..

WSTL at $10, a buy here.. Pair at $29 last week. Geez! Wish I had the capital, to make it worth while.

The same for ASND, COMS, CSCO..
