Alan,

I have been trading on the internet since 1995-96, during which time I've met and learned to respect a number of people who trade and offer ideas online.

I also have reviewed a number of Anthony's trades and don't see how he was able to trade stock at the prices as his posts claim. In some cases, time and sales data proves no stock went off at the prices he claims as a short entry. Although he uses these "Phantom" entry and exit points to "pump" up his trade record.

I do not dispute that Anthony has made a number of good trades, and that people following Anthony's trades have made money, because they have. I have made lots of money trading the same stocks Anthony has traded - only I was not following Anthony. And neither were many others that have traded all of these easy shorts. We are in a market cycle that makes certain short trades easy to nail. All good traders are doing it - not just Anthony - sorry to burst your bubble.

It is my opinion that Anthony has used what appear to be false entry/exits to make his trading record look much better than it is. Now he uses his "apparent" trading record as a sales pitch to lure people to his seminar and a pay site.

I find this disturbing... I also find it disturbing that most of the picks Anthony posts, have actually already been posted from other posters on the thread - well before Anthony makes the pick. Does Anthony give the first/originator of the trade idea credit?

No. He pretends like it was his idea. Talk about a guy with an ego that's out of control...

Over the years I've seen this type of activity from many traders. I've also seen many of these traders try to offer pay sites. I disagree with both of these concepts.

Here's why...

Typically the people that pay for these type sites are less experienced traders/investors that think listening to a guru will make them money. Historically they rarely do.

Experienced traders know that the vast majority of winning picks on this thread typically come from scanning the most advancing stocks and researching those picks to find the good shorts. This is not rocket science. And I don't think it is worth paying money to learn that short lesson.

It is my personal opinion that these threads should be used to teach those that want to learn, and trade ideas with those that know. I don't think these threads should be used to develop a following, then ask them to pay you.

But you know what they say about opinions =)
