The following is quoted from the latest quarterly report of March 31, 99. I tried but could not decipher exactly the current outstanding share amounts and they are not mentioned in the quarterly report. Perhaps the CEO DR. Zaghloul could provide up to date info on this topic. Frankly I find most co's seem reluctant to make this info readily available in a clear concise format resulting in conflicting reports on the actual shares allotted. Cheers!!!

Wi-LAN Inc announced in January the receipt of two purchase orders totaling US $550,000 from Telia GlobalCast internetworking for IP wireless local loop products to expand a national high-speed wireless network in Sweden and several other European countries. The purchase orders are part of restructuring the existing agreement to include other Nordic States and anticipated product orders for US $3,000,000 in the year 1999, US $9,000,000 in the year 2000 and US $24,000,000 in the year 2001.

On November 16, 1998, Wi-LAN announced a fully-functional prototype wireless unit capable of unprecedented speeds of 30 megabits per second (Mbps). The prototype marks a vital step towards commercializing high-speed wireless networking products based on the company's patented W-OFDM (Wide-band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology. W-OFDM uses a broader frequency band and allows much larger throughputs than conventional OFDM. Products based on the prototype will be available by June 1999.
