Doug: Why do I get this rotten impression that Newbridge stuffed the channel in order to try and make their revenue number. I just don't buy the rosy scenario about huge orders coming in late and overwhelming their production facilities. What's worse is, they didn't just miss the bottom line, they were short at the top as well. If my hunch is right, next quarter could be worse than this one. It will be interesting to see the earnings statement to see what the margins are like, but I can't help recalling that excellent post of a few months back that was negative about ATM in general, and made the case that ATM pricing was beginning to show signs of weakness. ATM,just another high-tech commodity? Look what has happened to the disk drive industry in the last year. Who would have ever imagined it could get so bad. Check out APM-NYSE.
