SFD: They also overlook the fact that while PCLN and their ilk are accorded outlandish PE multiples, Expedia which is probably the biggest online travel agency is given short shrift. I can see why MSFT is considering spinning off its internet holdings as a holding co. tracking stock. The internet assets of MSFT are accorded very little in the way of stock value. I really don't understand what is going on here but the opportunity to buy in at a late date at a discounted price is enormous here. MSFT is a blue chip and has a blue chip balance sheet and a PE that is worth every penny of its premium. I agree with your analysis.
