Look how we now have Exxon getting into bed with another major player, Amoco and BP, SBC and Ameritech, AT&T and too many other players. The point is that its way too premature to assume that a comprehensive strategic alliance could not exist between DELL and IBM. Remember, MSD has surprised "the experts" many times over the years.
