tejek, it makes sense if the deal if right. NSM can't seem to get anything to run under 2.9v. IBM has the process technology to get them there but it's too expensive. The logical deal is to bundle CYRX's standalone processors with the Portland plant and let IBM fill it with the newest, latest technology. NSM keeps the "PC-on-a-chip" for itself with IBM manufacturing it at a reasonable price and keeping what they want for internal use (instead of competitive sales).

The result: IBM gets needed capacity and a bottomless supply of cheap CPUs and PCOACs; NSM gets a huge influx of cash and the opportunity to fulfill its "700 million PC appliances" dream. Everybody wins.

It makes so much sense that you can be certain it won't happen.

Craig
