All: I must correct myself. Earlier, I stated that the LS-120 had twice as many r/w heads as the Zip drive: one magnetic r/w, one optical read head for tracking. This is wrong.

It's worse.

The LS-120 has THREE heads per side. One magnetic r/w for 120Mb, another magnetic r/w for 1.44Mb, and the optical tracking head.
