*OT* Barry: much as I would like to blame Billg for the swooning episodes of the PII 450, it could also be the BIOS or powersupply (or --far-less-likely!-- related to the motherboard or the CPU). I would think a software-related problem would result in freezes and not sudden total-system reboots. I guess the true test would be to see if these episodes occur w/ Windows NT, not that the latter is a perfectly pristine tower of unfailing strength.
