<<CompUSA's Fifth Avenue NYC store. I was in the store at the time it
happenned. The drop ceiling made of heavy aluminum crashed down on
customers starting from the rear of the store. Luckily, there were
not many people in the store, and the sound of the ceiling coming
apart was quite loud, and slow enough to give people time to run for
cover. Your friend, who is still agile, managed to run to the
front of the store out of harms way, and was completely unharmed.
I stayed at the scene for about half an hour, and did not see anyone
carried away on a stretcher. There were a few ambulences, and a few
people walked to them to be checked out.It happenned about 730 PM.
I hope there are not many frivolous lawsuits resulting from this. >>
