Better yet, what if AMD and NSM were to merge. They would not have to fight each other at the low end, and AMD designers would benefit from the NSM x-license with Intel. NSM could then use AMD cores in their integrated products. The Portland fab could be maxed out to increase K6-2 and K6 III production (0.18u). Combined, they would be a much stronger competitor to Intel. I would vote yes on such a merger. But, since AMD doesn't have a conference call planned, I doubt this will happen.
