consumers will go lan ala @home in the suburbs, but all small medium business and extended extranets, intranets and internets for big business supply chain will go dsl for dedicated bandwidth. instead of collisions and unsegmented party line technology cable modem. remember switched dedicated ethernet replaced shared 10baset and that is the analogy. dsl vs cabl modem
