Thank you for your post. I think NATO is fighting a political-military
conflict. This is the same thing happend in Corea where we called it
the Corean Police Action (whatever thatt was suppose to mean!!)
and the Vietnam War, were the hands of US commanders were tied to
take the initaive. Clinton lacks the political will to hit Serbs where
it really hurts. As I have said repeatedly they know that there will be no land invaison. All Milosovic has to do is to hunker down and take the bombardment. It will end one day and he has won the conflict.
The only leader with the clear idea is Milosovic. He has achieved his goals and he may get by with it!
Now, we can criticize NATO in Dutch. German, and French on this thread, but it is not NATO that has missed the target, it is the poliical leadership.
It is the political leadership that has no will to fight. US is led by a coward that burnt his own draft card and became a road scolar
rather than serv his own country!! That speaks for itself.
Out of 10000 sorties flown by NATO, the total war casualty is kept to minimum and yet NATO has
to go on the podium, every day, to expalin to the world why a bus was hit by accident! Why don't they ask milosovic why his "Snega" is committing mass murder in Kosovo?
At his rate, we may pack-up, accomodate Kossovars in Europe and
send the soldiers home.
BTW, there has been some ethnic cleansing in Vojodina against the Hungerians. Brace yourself for the next round!
