Mark Silvers, you said "The OT never rang true for me." If you are open to consider it, I believe there's astonishing evidence that the Bible is divinely inspired and would like to present some of it to you.

This is a matter of importance as the Bible promises eternal life, conditional upon obedience: The righteous shall inherit the land and dwell therein forever. [Psalm 37:9, 11, 22, 29, 34] Isaiah hoped for a resurrection to life on Earth: Thy dead shall live, my dead body shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust 26:19

For starters: In 1977 National Geographic reported discovery of black smokers, fountains or springs of water 2,500 feet beneath the sea. You've seen them on TV. Proverbs 8:22-31 is, I believe, a description of the Messiah's prehuman existence. Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. When he established the heavens, I was there: when he set a circle upon the face of the deep ... when the fountains of the deep became strong.

Waters of the flood came from undersea fountains, described at Genesis 7:11: All the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

The chips from Mt Everest Sir Edmund Hillary retrieved om 1953 were sedimentary. Genesis 1 states in the beginning there was no dry land. Over 3,000 years ago how did Moses and Solomon know there were springs in the ocean? Or that Earth was once a ball of water? How did the writer of Job know Earth is unsupported in space? "He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing." Job 26:7.

I've got lots more, Mark Silvers. On the other hand, your mind may be made up on this matter and you may think this a useless dialog. I only ask your willingness to examine the evidence and admit the validity of that which is sound in your fair analysis. Know that Jehovah is God, it is He that made us, and we are His" Psalm100:3
