barry, the issue is declaring the exact same thing . He was evaded it, backwardly said it , or if you say so it, The quesion isn't if He was before Abraham. Jesus created everything. jesus even created satan and the stars and everything. The question was did Jesus say He was God. Jesus was in the beginning(John 1) Jesus created everything (col 1 :16). But, did He say I am God when God said He was the Word of God. I'll never understand it and don't have too.
