Howard, I have been bearish on the general market since about 3900 on the Dow. I was still long techs after that, but bought puts on the big dopers. I was long techs, stock and long calls, during most of that time. Then, when the Billary bill killed drugs and biotechs, I dumped the techs and bought the dopers with nearly all my money. Then, in 1995, I started buying puts on techs. So, pick a point. I have only played the Dow for the past three weeks, so it isn't a focus for me. I focus on groups and individual names. Despite the level of the general market, I still own a number of biotechs and a few tech stocks and a lesser amount of precious metals and oil. Until recently, I owned more precious metals and oil. So, what is bearish? I am long some stuff and long puts on other stuff. I think the market is overpriced, but that isn't my arena of action.
My opinion on the largest part of my portfolio, the fixed income markets, short term, changes almost hourly. <g> |
