OT Mohan, if you're ordering The Elegant Universe, perhaps also order The Life of the Cosmos, by Lee Smolin. It's a gorgeous book and very readable, as a NY Times editor said to me, the last chapter made him cry it was so beautiful. I actually had Smolin over for dinner earlier this year and he's a pretty cool/smart fellow. If you read those two books, or even just a bit of 'em, you'll have mastered more physics than 99% of the physicists! Jill
