Pluvia,

I have not agreed with everything Anthony has done/said and have been vocal, much to the chagrin of some here. And I'll continue to be vocal about things I don't agree with.

However, I don't have a problem at all with Anthony or anyone charging for his or her stock picks. Maybe because I'm an entrepreneur at heart, but I believe if money can be made, money should be made -- it's the American way and it is one of the aspects of this society which has made it the greatest on earth. It might be against the unwritten philosophy of virtual communities like SI, but real world rules still prevail.

Anthony is charging a monthly fee. If his picks suck, then people will abandon ship and lose only one measly month's subscription fee. If his picks are profitable, then people will remain subscribers. If his picks suck and people still pay, then they deserve to be ripped off. Whichever way it goes, people are free to choose and Anthony has no leverage over whether they continue to pay or not. I think you should also keep in mind that this venture is not entirely without risk for Anthony. I am sure you know what I mean.

If something is worth doing, it is worth doing for money.
