"MEXICO CITY, May 5 (Reuters) - Mexican markets were closed
on Wednesday for the Cinco de Mayo holiday, which marks the
Mexican victory over invading French forces at the Battle of
Puebla in 1862.

-- Leading IPC share index closed Tuesday at 5560.63 points, off 0.33 percent.

-- Benchmark 48-hour peso contract ended Tuesday 1.20 centavos weaker at 9.284/9.289 per dollar.

-- Overnight Cetes rate closed 75 basis points lower Tuesday at 18.35 percent.

Mexican markets will reopen on Thursday.
